The Highlanders’ Museum is home to the historic collections of the famous Highland regiments – The Queen’s Own Highlanders (Seaforths and Camerons), Lovat Scouts, Liverpool Scottish and overseas affiliate regiments. It is the largest military collection outside London and has a diverse collection of objects including medals, uniform, personal archives and photographs, silverware, weapons and fine paintings.
The museum has recently undergone a major £3 million redevelopment project which has transformed the museum into a first class centre for education and enjoyment. The project has provided the museum some excellent new facilities including a dedicated education space complete with projector screens and working space.
The Museum is family friendly and has an exciting rolling programme of events and temporary exhibitions. Keep an eye on the main website for details.
